Managing Director, Private Business Credit 

Mahmood has been an entrepreneur for most of his career, engaged in the hospitality and retail industries, and several aspects of real estate investing such as refurbishing properties, owning a rental portfolio, and conducting short sales. In 2011, Mahmood founded Sena Capital, LLC to invest in residential mortgage notes. After managing several note investing syndications under his company, he was able to scale up the business to become Managing General Partner of Highclere Group, LP, a note investing fund. He has appeared on panels and is a consultant to note investors. Previously, Mahmood owned and managed retail operations in the jewelry and cellular phone sectors and directed business development and revenue growth of the family-owned hotel and nursing home in the United Kingdom. With an educational background in Business and Finance, Mahmood has also completed an executive program on Private Equity from the Wharton School of Finance. Aside from his entrepreneurial, real estate, and note-trading experiences, Mahmood is also a volunteer community mediator and arbitrator. Mr. Motani will be trading commercial and residential mortgage notes while also focusing on the mezzanine debt lending space for Versatile Global, LLC.
